Keep a bight smile through the new year

A smile is one of the simplest and most contagious ways of demonstrating happiness to others. A person who smiles is said to be a person who lives longer, and that makes me very happy because I enjoy laughing and smiling all the time.
But it wasn’t always that way; when I was 8 years old something happened that change the way I enjoy laughing and smiling. I was at home watching my favorite show eating carrots, when I notice that my front tooth was not firm as it use to be, so I ran to my mom to have her check out my tooth and found out that because I was growing up my teeth were changing and that I was going to go through a period where I was not going to have all my teeth, but that they will slowly come out back again and stay there for the rest of my life.
“Our smiles identify the feelings we experience from minute to minute”
At that moment I thought I could maybe speed up the process a little, so I tight-up one side of a sting to my teeth and the other to the handle of my door. I shared the idea with one of my buddies who said he would help me out by closing the door to pull the tooth out. After a lot crying and bleeding, I realize that the process was not going to speed up on my own time, that it takes time for the teeth to come out, which meant that I had to go through painful weeks without smiling or laughing because my smile had some teeth missing.
That period of my life scar me and motivated me to become the dentist that I am today. From that day on I wanted to help people in keeping their teeth healthy so that they didn’t have to go through the painful experience of not being able to smile confidently because some of their teeth are missing.
As we are about to start a new year, it is important to look back and think of the thing you will like to keep through the next year and the things you will like to change. So here is my question to you:
What are you doing with your beautiful smile?
Maybe last year was a tough year, and you didn’t place much importance in taking care of your teeth. Well next year you have a new chance, and I want to share with you 3 important reminders for you to follow as the year goes by:
1. Brush and floss your teeth daily.
2. Visit your dentist every six months
3. Make sure you are not eating to many sugars
